Tamar Braxton to be Honored at Pure Heat Community Festival During Global Black Pride Atlanta Weekend

Grammy-nominated singer Tamar Braxton is set to be honored at the 12th Annual Pure Heat Community Festival,taking place during the historic first-ever Global Black Pride celebration in Atlanta, Georgia. This weeklong event,running from August 26th to September 2nd, 2024, promises a vibrant showcase of the Black LGBTQIA+ community.
Braxton will be presented with the Ultimate Icon Award alongside fellow honorees Keke Palmer (Humanitarian Award) and Jessica Betts (Trailblazer Award, presented by her wife Niecy Nash-Betts). The Pure Heat Community Festival, held on September 1st at Piedmont Park, is a free "day of unity" featuring market vendors, live performances,educational forums, and more.
Global Black Pride Atlanta is a collaboration between Atlanta Black Pride Weekend and Global Black Pride, offering a variety of activities throughout the week. Expect a two-day music festival, a Global Black Pride Village, a Gala & Influencer Dinner, conferences, brunches, a Black LGBTQIA+ Political Leaders Summit, the Global Black Pride March,and nightly parties.
The 3rd Annual Black Excellence Influencer's Dinner takes place on August 30th and serves as a fundraiser for the festivities. This year's honorees include Rashad Burgess, Lisa Cunningham, Funky Dineva, Judge Pierce Hand Seitz, and several others who significantly impact the LGBTQIA+ community.

This is a historic event celebrating diversity and inclusion. A portion of proceeds will benefit homeless LGBTQIA+ youth and those affected by HIV/AIDS via The Vision Community Foundation.
